One of my patients at work told me a few weeks ago to see when the next full moon is and that is when I'd have my baby. Well, the full moon is tonight but no labor pains just yet...
I went to the doctor today. Nothing too exciting. They weighed me and measured my belly. Dr. Reed said I'd gained 1 pound since last week and that my baby is still around 6 pounds. Next Thursday she will check me to see if I've dilated any. Tomorrow I will be 37 weeks. Baby is really sticking it's little foot out on my right side. I'm guessing it's a foot. I'll look down and can see a mountain coming out from my side!
We are counting down the weeks. Maybe Joey knows something I don't, he just vacuumed, and put up the clean clothes, and cleaned off the kitchen table....he must be in a nesting mood : )

Station +2 !

What is a Station?
When your provider tells you about your baby’s station, she is referring to how far down his head has come into your pelvis. If your baby has dropped, but has not yet settled into your pelvis to begin his decent, it is measured in centimeters as a negative station. This negative measurement goes from -3 to -1. Once your baby has settled into your pelvis, but before he starts his descent to the birth canal, it is referred to as a zero (0) station. Once your baby starts heading towards the cervix, it is referred to as a positive station from 1 to 3. During this time it is likely that you will feel an increase of pressure and pain in your pelvic bone and vaginal area.
What station is our baby?!
Today at my doctor's appointment Dr. Reed told me I'm at Station 2! Baby is "heading" on outta there. I am not dilated at all but the doctor said I could go into labor at any time. It could be weeks or it could be tomorrow! Very exciting!! I have a lot to do! I go back Thursday the 23rd to see if I'm dilated!

Bun in the Oven

I had another wonderful shower this last weekend that was hosted by great friends here in Houston. The theme was "Bun in the Oven" and everything was SO adorable! The decorations were so creative and perfect! There was about 25 people there and Baby received many great things!! I had a wonderful time, I wish I could have visited more with each person who was there. Here are a few pictures from the shower!

34 Weeks

I spent Labor Day weekend in Corsicana and Sunday in Waco with my family. Joey went camping with some friends. I had a great weekend and was happy to be with my family.
My belly is really growing these days. I went to the doctor on Friday and I'll go again on the 16th. After that I go every week. They just measure my belly and weigh me. Sometimes the doctor will feel around on my belly but that's about it. The baby is head down and everything is on track. I have gained about 17 pounds, woo hoo!
The baby is pushing around in there like crazy. It is too big to kick me, now it just feels like it changes positions and turns and wiggles a lot. I think I might feel it getting hiccups sometimes. So far most people think it's a boy, I think I only have about 3 people who are saying they think it is a girl. So we shall see in a few more weeks! I hope Lucille still talks to be if it is a boy, she really wants me to have a girl!

33 weeks!

Baby's now the size of a honeydew! Baby may grow up to a full inch this week alone, and the brain is developing rapidly. Pretty soon, Baby will be able to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Also, the bones are hardening, and the eyes will stay open when awake. The doctor said my baby weighs about 4 pounds now and when they measured my belly she said "Perfect" so I'm guessing I'm right on track. Baby is still moving a lot but I can tell it is crammed in there. I am sleeping ok as long as I stay on my left side with a pillow between my legs and a rolled up comforter against my back.
We went to our childbirth class today and will go back tomorrow for half a day. We enjoyed the class and am looking forwards to tomorrow. We practiced labor breathing, labor positions, birthing positions, and Joey got a lot of practice being my Coach. We got the giggles during relaxation breathing, I peed my pants a little and I know I was drooling on my pillow cause I was laughing so hard. LOL You know Joey, I finally had to tell him just not to talk because I couldn't stop laughing. But I think we got it down and Joey is gonna be a great coach during labor!

Baby's Window!

This evening Grammie and Poppy came over with the window valance!
Marilyn had been hard at work looking for just the right material and decor to match the room. I liked this fabric the best and she spruced it up with semiciricles to match the polka dots, colorful buttons, and some small abc's on the ribbions. It matches the room and just looks adorable! I think Baby will love it as much as we do!

Waco Baby Shower and Polka dots!

We had a wonderful shower given to me by my Aunts and cousins in Waco. It was so fun and everything was just perfect! We played the smelly diaper game (guess the chocolate candy bar), baby bingo, and we guessed how many candies were in the baby bottle. We received so many great gifts!! I have already looked through them about 3 times. We received a few homemade quilts that are beautiful, our highchair, the diaper trash thingy, onsies and little blankies, bath time toys and soaps, and many more great things that we really needed! One of my Aunts made us the diaper cake which is adorable! I've posted a few pics of the shower!
When Joey and I got home from Corsicana we hung the dots. So I've posted new pics of the nursery.
