Alligator Birthday Party!

The Saturday before Joseph's birthday we had a small party at a toddler park here in Spring. Our families and our best friends all joined us on a beautiful morning. I had a lot of fun planning an Alligator party. I served a sandwich platter, green avocado dip, green gator jello jigglers, green fruit bowl, and green gator goo (punch) with alligator straws. We also had a life like alligator there in cupcake form. I made pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting into the shape of an alligator, it turned out pretty cute! Joseph got a lot of cute gifts including alligator pjs, new shoes, clothes, an animal puzzle, books, a swing for the patio, a bubble machine, crayon holder, veggie toys, soft blocks, a big car, a tractor, and a few other things as well. We love everything he got! I even let him try a cupcake!! He didn't make a huge mess with the green icing like I thought he would. He enjoyed squishing the cupcake more than anything. He also tried out all the playground toys, the see-saw, swing, horsey rides, and slides. I brought painting materials for the other kids, I got out the green paint first (they were painting an alligator)none of the girls wanted green! We had purple and rainbow colored alligators! Very fun! I also made alligator party favors which included an alligator hair clip for the girls, alligator bookmarks, alligator clothespins, along with other green things like stickers, and balloons. I am so happy how the party turned out and I can't believe he is over a year old now! He is so much fun these days and learning so much.
