Favorite Toy: the 18-wheeler car carrier
Joseph loves: Shoes and playing in the shower (he insists the door has to be closed)
We are starting his gambling habit early
He loves the pool balls and can name most. his fav is the "8 ball" and he'll say it
over and over and over again...
Yes, those are rice krispies in the bath with him.....
and Yes, I gave Joseph a powdered donut!!!!!!!
Time slipped by and 3 days after he turned 20 months old, I wanted to cry because I was still telling people he was 19 months old. I cannot believe he is so old :( Time is flying.
Joseph is SO smart these days! He is putting 3 words together like- I see you, Sun is shining, and he is constantly putting two words together. He is in a repeat stage and is repeating just about anything we say. He picked up "Oh gosh" from somewhere...The bigger words he is saying include: alligator and avocado. He knows all of his letters!! Before nap time today we went through the alphabet and he named every letter, but for Z he kept saying S. He can count to 3, and pick out most numbers. He can say his name Joey Boeller. He just learned his last name and it doesn't sound quite right but he's trying. Although he can talk, he still signs Help and Eat. Joey goes over the signing book at night with him, it has pictures of children signing. Joey says he wants him to keep signing for party tricks. It is pretty cute and he will occasionally use his signs as he talks during the day. I'm still working part time and the sitter is still watching him each morning. Joseph has picked up a few things from the other children. I'm not sure if it's his age or of he's seen other kids doing it. Probably a little of both. He has started throwing his toys and he can throw a pretty good fake fit, he also learned that passing gas is funny...oh the joys of children :)
He has cut two more teeth, so we have a total of 10! One night we had to drive him around at because he was in such pain and crying. A box of raisins and a drive did the trick. Of course I didn't know what was wrong with him and had to call the doctor on call. He also had a sore throat that week, so it could have been that too.
Joseph is still a good eater like always. I still use my Super Baby food book and he eats his super porridge each morning. He does go through stages where he will love something one week and not touch it another, some of these foods include all berries, watermelon, and grapes. He would drink milk and eat raisins all day if I let him. We are down to nursing once a day, this has been a huge step for both of us. I always read a baby wean's himself, but not baby! I think he would continue to nurse 4 times a day if I let him.
Joseph has his follow up with Dr. Roy his ENT tomorrow. He has been off his medicine for a full month now! He is doing great and I can't wait to hear what the doctor has to say. Maybe he will release us!
Having a 20 month old is so much fun. The silly faces and words Joseph repeats just makes us laugh and smile. He is every bit of perfect to us! He has started trying to make the sign of the cross and he knows we always "pray" when we sit down to eat. Sometimes we pray numerous times because Joseph insists. He will cross his little hands and say his own babble to Jesus.
I still can't believe he will be 2 in a few months, Joseph please stop growing so fast!

I am AMAZED that he knows all of his letters and many numbers. What an intelligent kid! Carter's barely starting to figure out his colors. I haven't even started the alphabet yet!
