The robot bag full of hot wheels
Food: Joseph will not eat veggies anymore :( I can still SOMETIMES sneek broccoli into food and he will eat kale in an omlet. HE spits out any chunks of brocoli, sweet potato, mango, he's gotten very picky. His diet mainly consits of, oatmeal with fruit and a protein (egg or tofu) plain yogurt with added protein (tahini, cashew butter, peanut butter) prunes whole or baby food prunes, raisens, seeds (I found a great trail mix at heb he enjoys)bananas, applesauce, cereal (he would eat CHEX all day if I let him) peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches, beans and rice, avacado, milk, juice diluted with water, and occationally he will eat what we are having like meatloaf, spagetti, pancakes, and muffins. I try to get him to taste everything we eat but he loves saying no and turning his head. I started giving him a multivitamin this week. The pediatrician told me to start giving him this back in OCtober but I never did. So since he has cut down on the veggies I broke down and bought the gummy ones. It took him a couple days but he finally ate one today! Words: He talks a lot! He keeps us laughing all the time. He has many books memorized and has many songs memorized. He loves reading and singing! He still will sign if we ask him too. RIght now his favorite books are Jesus in Me, the fruits of the spirit, Goodnight, goodnight Construction site, Truck Book, and Cars and trucks. Some things Joseph has said: Upon looking at the Corn Flake cereal box "That rooster is eating my cereal" When he wants me to pick him up "Pick you up, pick you up" When Gina goes outside "Gina's pooping" Play: Joseph loves to "Play with toys!" as he says when we get home. His favorite is the hot wheels cars that he carries around in his robot bag. He also loves his scooter, all his trucks and traliors, and Tee-toes helicopter. He also enjoys playing with the pool balls upstairs. He can now move the computer chair by himself over to the pool table, stand on the chair and play with the pool balls. Bed: Ever since November when we put our old matress in his room he sleep GREAT! We will keep the childproof door knob on the inside of his door at night. Partially for safety reasons (we don't have the gate at the top of the stairs anymore) and becasue he needed to learn night time is sleep time and he cannot escape to our room. He sleeps all night and on weekends he happily plays in his room until we go get him. I will put something in there he enjoys playing with on weekends so we can sleep a little later and he will wake up to a fun project waiting for him! This last weekend it was a domino set, he was working away with those when I finally went to get him! Potty: Joseph has peed twice and pooped once! I don't expect much at this point but we are sitting him down and giving him his toy magazine to read (just cause I think he looks so darn cute on that little potty with a magazine) When he pooped on the potty Joey was at a soccer game so he missed the smelley mess...but we danced and high fived and told the poopy bye bye and flushed it away. Joseph cannot take his pants off yet so we ar eworking on that, I know it is a crucial part of potty training. But last time I tried to show him how, he broke my nose... I'l leave that up to Dada. Overall we are loving the TERRIFIC two's!! Joseph keeps us smiling most of the time. We pick our battles and sometimes just let him have a fit and scream and cry. We try to ignore it or get his mind on something else. Joey reminded me that he will be 3 in 9 months!! I told Joey not to tell me things like that, I'll cry!
