
I got a free Fit Pregnancy magazine from my doctors office. The pages are so worn it opens to the articles I've read over and over all by itself. I found this smoothie recipe that I really like in it. I am happy to say I actually haven't made it myself...my wonderful husband has been making us these smoothies. I took real pics but I deleted them on accident so I found this other green smoothie pic online...anyhow, Here is the recipe!
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup baby spinach
1/3 cup walnuts
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 frozen banana
1 T honey
Place strawberries, spinach and walnuts in a blender, then add apple juice, yogurt, banana and honey and blend! Joey garnished with a frozen strawberry : )
per serving: 330 calories, 6g protein, 46g carbohydrate, 15g fat, 127 mg calcium, 27 mg vit C, 2 mg iron, 71 mcg folate, 4 g fiber
