30 weeks!

I can't believe I only have about 10 weeks left! I've read that my baby is about 15inches long now, and weighs about 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds Baby, but that volume will decrease as the baby gets bigger and takes up more room in the uterus. The eyesight continues to develop, and even after Baby is born, it'll keep it's eyes closed for a good part of the day. When Baby does open them it will have 20/400 vision — which means baby can only make out objects a few inches from it's face. Baby's brain is starting to wrinkle and fold. This is due to the rapid growth of our little genius's brain cells. The bone marrow is completely in charge of red-blood-cell production now. Baby is starting to shed the lanugo—the downy hair that was covering the skin. Now that Baby is a little chubbier and better able to regulate the body temp, baby doesn't need the lanugo.
The baby moves all the time now, morning, noon, and night. Very active! I am getting out of breath more easily and some days are really tired again. Overall I feel fine, I just feel like my uterus is running out of room in there! I don't see how I can get any bigger, but I'm sure I will. I'm posting what the nursery looks like now. We plan to paint the dots soon and get those on the wall. It's all coming together!
