We can't believe our baby was 5 months on Thursday! We had a nurse visit at the pedi's office for his 4 mth shots. He is a little late with shots due to his sickness, but we are back on track now. We will see the dr for his 6 mth check up and more shots next month. He was a good boy for the shots, he did scream but immediately stopped crying when I picked him up, then he screamed even louder when I was putting him into his car seat. He hates when we put him in his car seat! Once the car starts moving he's good. He started arching his back when he wants to sit up or doesn't want to be laid down. He loves grabbing his toes, and likes to look at colorful socks on his feet. He is learning his voice and making all sorts of sounds these days..oh so cute! He cannot sit up by himself yet, but for a few seconds will balance with his hands down in front of him. He is sleeping on his side, but can't roll over yet. He is starting to bite on chew toys. Most of the time he can get the toy in his mouth and then chews and drools. He enjoys sitting outside with me in the grass and watching Gina play fetch. He is reaching for Gina and wants to touch her hair. We go on a stroll about every day, either in the neighborhood, or with friends at teh waterway in the woodlands. I found a mirror at a garage sale for 5 bucks and I put it up in his room, so far it is a big hit and he loves that chubby baby he sees looking back at him. He likes me to sing him the ABC's, that usually calms him. He loves when we let him jump up and down on our lap, or when Daddy throws him in the air. That gets a big open mouth smile! Also, when I kiss his neck, or tickle his legs. I love his open mouth smile and his giggle!
