We had such a nice stay at my parents house last week. Well, it was all nice except for the part when me and the baby had to take cover from the tornado. Monday my parents had to go to a visitation in Fairfield, at about that time I received two phone calls on their home phone to take cover because a tornado was up in the sky coming into Navarro County. I was so scared and mad at my parents for leaving us! I put the baby's bouncy seat into the bath tub, got the sofa cushions within reach, put the 2 phones beside me and prayed!! I could hear the wind and rain outside, it was scary. I buckled Joseph into the seat and gave him his bath toys, LOL, he thought we were taking a bath without the water! He had a good time while mommy was praying! We ended up surviving the tornado : )
Tuesday, a good friend of mine came and visited with her mom. I've known Jennifer since 1st grade and our moms work together. They'd been praying for Joseph during his illness and she wanted to meet him. We made deviled eggs out of our Easter eggs, had lunch, and a nice visit with them.
Tuesday evening we went out to Aunt Lacey's house in the pasture. There, Baby Joey met 2 horses and watched them eat carrots and grapes. Papa Ronnie wanted to throw him up on a horse, but I put a stop to that! Cousins Lucille and Lillian aren't scared of those horses at all! Joseph really enjoyed watching Lucille and he laughed a lot at her. Lillian wanted to "pet" and hold the baby just about the whole visit! Joseph really enjoyed his cousins. Wednesday Aunt Lacey and Lucille came out to my parents house. Lucille read to Joseph and played with him so good.
During the week we also saw some of my best friends, Cynthia and Kim. We were so excited to see little Kim with a big preggy belly : ) Can't wait for Joseph to have another playmate.
I didn't want to come home, but now we are slowly getting back into our weekly routine. We went to mom's group today and will go to the library tomorrow. Joey is getting his baby time again, I think he really missed his little squishy baby.
