We tried to get Joseph to ride the carousel..he was frightened!!

He wanted to see out the window, so I made him a step with his books

It seems like the last month just flew by!

Joseph had his first big time cold. He had the green snot we had to suction out and everything. It lasted a good week. He never ran a fever and pretty much acted fine, so I did not take him to the doctor. Hopefully no mmore colds for a long time. He is a super crawler, very fast indeed! He pulls up on everything and I have seen him cruise along with a few steps while holding on to something. He will stand in place without holding onto anything for about 2 seconds before he falls. His balance is getting better and better each day. I think he might take his first steps before he is one, but we will see. I am in no hurry for walking. He gets enough bumps and bruises already. I also found him on the first stair trying to stand up, I guess it's time to teach him about the stairs.

He loves so many things. First he loves dogs the most and sometimes I think he loves Gina more than his dada or mama. When he sees bigger dogs he laughs and thinks they are so so funny, it is the cutest thing. Joseph also loves to play with WHEELS!! Anything that has a wheel or resembles a wheel he trys to spin it. He still loves Mr. Brown Bear at storytime, although he is loosing interest in the sing-song part, but does enjoy the puppets. We are going to take a break from story time from Sept-Nov. He will be attending another program on Tuesdays at a friend's church. He loves to be outside and this makes us very happy because we love going on walks and visiting with neighbors in the evenings. He also still loves bath time, even when I put his head and ears in the water!

Joseph does not like his highchair. I am learning to give him a bite of food then sit him down real fast before he realizes where he is going. Sometimes I'll just hold and feed him, other times we put him in the little fisherprice booster seat in the floor. Speaking of eating... We have officially tried rice as a finger food, and he loves playing with it and trying to get it in his mouth. His pincher grasp is coming along nicely. I tried giving him a slice of bread to gnaw on, but got to scared of choking so I took it away... I really don't like giving him anything not pureed and I need to get over that...

I'm having a girls night out tonight, Joey is on baby duty! So I better get ready!
