We went to the Old Town Christmas Tree farm yesterday. I had only been once back when Joey and I were just dating. I was excited to go and really excited to get a REAL tree for downstairs this year!! Joseph skipped his afternoon nap and we headed in Poppy's new, big, red truck to saw down our tree. Joseph loved riding on the trailer and he LOVED watching the tractors pulling the trailers. But everytime the ride stopped he of course wanted down... So we picked out a 5 1/2 footer and brought her on home. I already have pine needles everywhere! We have her up on a table so Joseph won't climb her. He loves me picking him up and pointing to all the pretty ornament's. He already has learned "Christmas tree" and he points in that direction. It is filled with ornaments from me and Joey's childhood, ones from my family tree at home, and also new ones we received last year for Joseph's 1st Christmas. I already know this year is going to be a better Christmas than last year, the baby was very ill, next week will be 1 yr that I had to make my first 911 call when he couldn't breathe. I am so thankful those hard times are behind us now.
This evening I went to a Christmas cookie party, next weekend we attend a baptism, then Joey's birthday....oh goodness...Let the busy month of December begin....!
