What is Joseph up to?
Of course, hanging with the ladies...
His obsession with wheels lives on...
Staring at this box of super hero band-aids, I finally showed him what was inside...
One of his favorite Christmas presents, a combine that was my dad's when he was little
He loves looking at all his Valentines from his lady friends :)
A foot!
Joseph is so funny these days. He is just a silly boy! When we have company or his grandparents come over he shows off by running around, screaming, and shaking his head all around. He can now climb up on the couch by himself, and climb out of the bathtub(which he isn't allowed to do). He never was a climber until recently. He can also flush the toilet.
New words he is saying is: No, clock, Gigi, bu (for bug or butterfly), knee, the letters J,B. We count 1,2,3, but when he trys to count by himself he says, 2,2,2 because that is the only number he can say!
He loves reading and now he likes to pick out the books he wants to read. He is beginning to memorize some pages/pictures because I will read a sentence and let him fill in the blank. If the blank is "nose", for example he will point to his nose! Since we read his fav books over and over and over I can see how it would be easy to remember the words.
He is still a good eater. He has officially had chicken 3 times! We have tried ground beef, but he mainly spits it out, he doesn't like certain textures. His favorite foods now are boiled eggs, dry cereal, yogurt with tahini, and prunes. He used to love pears, but he spit them out now...
Our weeks consist of storytime on Mondays at the library, Tuesday I go to bible study at a friends church while he stays in their nursery. He will just walk in with little hesitation now (they have cool car toys), Wednesdays we have music time, and Thursdays or Fridays we might go to the free indoor playground, or the children's museum with a friend.
Joseph still takes his morning nap from 11-1. He is slowly weaning himself of the afternoon nap. Unless he is super tired, he will not go to sleep when I put him down at 4pm. I usually still let him have quiet play in his crib for an hour. Sometimes I just need that time to myself.
We have his 18 month check up scheduled, he will get shots then we won't need to see the pediatrician until he is 2. We saw Dr. Roy on the 30th and everything was good. We are slowly weaning the medication. We'll go back in 3 months. Dr. Roy said no scope unless he starts having symptoms again.
Overall, Joseph is a happy, healthy 16 month old. He is learning so much and does or tries to do everything me and dada do. We are so lucky and blessed to have a healthy baby!!
