3rd Gear Birthday Party!

So months in advance I started planning Joseph's b-day party. (I'm a little obsessed) I had adorable gear scrapbooking paper that I made his invites with. And I decided to go with the theme of "Gears" and have it at the Woodlands Children's museum, inviting about 10 children. I had a hard time finding paperwear with gears and not so much robots. Joseph is scared of some robots and I wanted to make sure I found something that stuck with the main theme of gears. After searching a lot online I came across the gear plates and napkins with a cartoonish robot that I thought were perfect. I found robot/gear wrapping paper at the dollar tree I used for some decoration. I had a banner with about 5 scrapbook pages I had made from newborn-3 yrs. I cut our gear shapes with my cricut for the table decorations. I also had take home favors for the children that included adorable gear bowls and gear cups I found at Target (they were PERFECT!) The menu included Chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, a meat and cheese tray, fruit bowl, chee-toes because that is Joseph's fav and I never buy them, gear cookies, juice boxes, Gear cake, and cupcakes. We had the party room for 2 hours, so the children got to play and then we did happy birthday and opened gifts. Of course Joseph held his ears for "Happy Birthday" like he does at every birthday party. So funny... I dressed him in a "3 3" shirt but forgot his b-day hat for the party. The picture posted is when we got home. He blew out his candle perfectly and was excited to open his gifts. He would have been content just opening one, but we urged him on to open the others. He had a fun time. He would play with the train set there for hours! My family was a great help and I wanted to thank all of them!! I was a little crazy trying to get everything in order and making sure the party was perfect! It was fun and I think Joseph really enjoyed it! Excuse the double picture postings, I can't seem to get blogger to post my pictures correctly.....
