I read a couple of my friend's blogs this weekend and it got me back in the mood. pICTURES Posted at the bottom :)
Joseph is a busy boy these days. Every day he is asking me where are we going, who are we playing with? Can we go to (name a friend)'s house? And before bed each night, what are we doing tomorrow? He wants to stay busy and if we are not playing and busy at home we better be somewhere else playing cause then he gets bored and starts asking for tv and phones, ect..and he only gets certain amounts of time on electronics a week.
He is on a waiting list at a MDO program for the fall, he is number 7 on the list for a 2 a day program, the church is very close to our house. We decided against the Pre-K at the catholic school this Fall, since I am not working and it is not close to our house, realistically, it just wasn't the smartest choice for us financially. Plus, it was a M-F program and he has never been in an organized program like that before, I'm sure he would do fine and love it, but I feel more comfortable with a 2 or 3 a day program. We may try the catholic school once he is 4, we'll see.I may be working by then.
Currently Joseph is into soccer, airplanes, and always his race cars. We took him to see a B-17 on memorial day and bought him some airplanes. He is obsessed with his Daddy and soccer. He always wants his Daddy and him to be wearing a soccer shirt-that is one with a number. Occasionally, I'll take him to see Daddy play indoor soccer and Joseph doesn't really watch the game, but he runs around the dirty, filthy place kicking his own soccer ball and meeting new friends. I get to watch Joseph instead of the game, he doesn't get to go very often but he gets super excited when we tell him he can go. Otherwise he doesn't even know Daddy goes or he'll be very unhappy he's being left behind with Mommy. PLus there is a "snack bar" filled with horrid candy I would cringe to let him eat, like those nerd ropes, and ring pops...So I always have to give him a speech before we go in that he can't ask for anything because I'm going to say no. He's been pretty good the last 2 times we took him. Sometimes I'll sneak him in some m&m's.
Currently all Joseph wants to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is Basic 4. Could be worse but if I want him to eat anything else I pretty much spoon feed it to him while he's playing. I know, a mommy no-no but hey it;s the only way he'll eat good stuff. I just found out he like popcorn shrimp too! So here is his basicis, the same ole stuff he's been eating for most of his life!! Milk, juice w/water he calls
"Tea"eggs w/kale, cheese, nuts (pecans!), corn dogs, spaghetti, pizza, pasta, tuna, grapes, banana and peanut butter, bread and jelly, beans, rice, plain popcorn, and oatmeal w/applesauce. He's gotten pretty picky...
Our weeks consist of meeting up to play with a friend about twice a week, library about every other week, and he goes to joey's parents to stay about every other week, sometimes he stays the night. We still stroll for him to nap, so he naps in his stroller in the living room. We are so excited about summer! Our family will come stay with us and he may even go stay with them a few nights. Ok here are some pics!
