A Month Later

Exactly a month later I had my first doctor's appointment with Dr. Reed. She is a high risk physician who's office is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of where I work. I had a good experience and didn't wait long.. Joey didn't get to come with me to my first appointment but hopefully he can come next month.
I am pretty sure I was shaking when I checked in, I was nervous and anxious all at once. Before I knew it, I was waiting on the ultrasound table for it to begin. My eyes were glued to the screen looking for anything that resembled a baby. After many measurements were taken, I saw it... our BABY! It was amazing and words cannot express how I felt. I could not believe this tiny miracle was really inside me! I saw the head, torso, and feet buds, even saw the heartbeat! I fell in love that moment looking at our baby. I just wanted to stare at it forever on that screen. After that excitement, I met with Dr. Reed who assured me everything was right on track. I was 8 weeks and maybe a few days and the baby and me checked out good. I had one complaint about burning pain I was having on my right side, and she told me I do have a cyst on my right ovary but they would watch it. It is nothing to worry about now, it just causes me quite a lot of pain sometimes..My next appointment is in a month when I will be 12 weeks.
So when I got home and showed Joey the cutest baby ever, he looked at the sonogram and pointed to the baby's little nubby feet and said "Yep, it's gonna be a soccer player" Needless to say Daddy Joey is very excited about Baby Boeller!
