Finger Foods!!
Dirt don't hurt
Bedtime Reading with Daddy, Look how big he looks!
First of all, he is getting pretty picky with foods. Joseph no longer likes me to spoon feed him. He wants to eat everything by himself. If he is REALLY hungry he will let me feed him, but if not just forget it! This means feeding time is very messy indeed! I am spreading his super porriadge on "Magic Pops"- That is a cracker that resembles a rice cake, made from rice and grains that dissolves easily. He also enjoys Almond butter spread on his whole wheat cracker. I am introducing more and more finger foods. He LOVES cheese, he would eat it for every meal if I let him. Other finger foods he enjoys is cottage cheese, any crackers or cereal, bread, rice. I try to get him to eat cooked veggies but he spits them out, and he only ate a banana himself once at my moms. I plan to keep offering finger foods of cooked carrots, sweet potatoes, pear, banana, and other healthy fruits and veggies. Talking! I swear he says a lot of things, but maybe that's because I'm his mother. We are positive he can say these words: Moooo (cow), Uh-oh (when he drops something, or when he is about to drop something), and I think he can hoot like an owl, but that one is up in the air... He can make many sound effects mainly learned form his daddy. He can blow (practicing for his birthday), smack his lips, pop his tounge, and make car nosies when him and daddy are playing cars. When I read him books it sounds like he trys to mimic some words I say. Although this might just be baby babble.... We saw him try to wave for the first time on Saturday. We were leaving Ashley's baby shower and I had everyone waving at him and he started moving his little fingers on both hands. I swear it was a wave : ) He is genius is what I told everybody! I think he is going to take that first step any day, but for now is is sticking to the crawl. I want him to be walking for Halloween so we can trick or treat at the neighbors. We are gonna work on that. He is so fun and always keeps me laughing. He can stay busy himself most of the time. Although he likes it best when I am in the floor playing with him, or reading to him. I have drawers in the kitchen he likes to pull things out of and play, he also loves chasing Gina and getting her raw hide or ball away from her. He loves kisses and even nibbles from Gina. He thinks she is soooo funny. And Gina loves playing with him. One more month and my baby will be 1 year old. I really cannot believe it. I told Joey I wanted a year off of work and my year is almost up! I'm not ready to leave him yet with anyone else. So let's give it a few more months : ) Joseph goes to see Dr. Roy (ENT) for his throat next month when he turns a year. Joey will go with us and at this time we will get a new dosage of medicene and start weaning him to see if his mass is shrinking away. Let's pray that sucker is gone!!
